Prison Break Reunion in Rumoured Development
Just months after Fox confirmed it was open to talks about a potential Prison Break return, new rumours speculate the show is now in development. TV Line claims the hit network is currently putting together 12 brand new episodes of the cult TV show. If this is true, fans could soon see Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller once again partner up as Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield.
How will the revival pan out?
Details of how the revival series will pan out are sketchy at best. After Michael Scofield came to an untimely end in the finale back in 2009, it remains a mystery how his character will now fit in to the new mini-series. Of course, it isn’t entirely unrealistic to see his character come back from the dead. Stranger things have definitely happened!
Revival would produce a definite ending
If the rumours are true and the Prison Break revival is in development, it brings both good and bad news. The chance to see the likes of Miller on our screens once more is definitely joyful news, so what about the bad news? Well, the revival series will bring a definite end to the show. Once it’s done there will be no more episodes to follow.
The time of revivals
It was actually Miller himself who pitched the idea of a Prison Break revival to Fox. The network apparently saw a lot of potential in the idea and that is how the revival mini-series came about. It isn’t the first series that would be revived by the network. It has recently revived hit shows such as ‘The X-Files’, ‘Twin Peaks, Heroes and Full House. The network knows what its fans want and right now that is revivals of their favourite shows.
So when will the Prison Break revival hit our screens? Unfortunately that’s news that we are all still waiting for.
