Michael is seemingly looking for something in Blanding Botanical Gardens. He disguises himself as an employee and looks for the flower that he hid in his tattoo, Apache Desert Ghost. However as Michael gets near, he starts to feel uncomfortable with the people around him, and rightly so, because they turn out to be undercover and chase him out of the Botanical Gardens. Michael gets away but had to leave behind what he had come for.
Lincoln and LJ are back on the road and Linc has a hard time telling LJ that he should go on and live a normal life and leave him but LJ is hearing none of it.
Michael stops off at a diner to calm his nerves when he hears the news of Tweener?s death on the television, and the guilt starts to overwhelm him. Mahone is on the television answering questions about Tweener?s death when a reporter lets slip that the media know more than they should, and Mahone is clearly angry that one of his agents has talked. The reporter asks if it is true that Mahone has recovered material from Michael?s hard drive about his escape and his destination and Michael hears it all.
The FBI have recovered medical nitroglycerin from where Michael had buried it in Botanical Gardens, and Mahone goes off and threatens his agents if he finds out about any more leaks.
Moab, Utah and Michael is on a computer and starts to play Mahone?s game and does a little background research on him. He finds out that he is divorced and the present address of his ex-wife. Michael goes to a thrift store for a little clothes shopping, and buys a suit.
An FBI agent approaches Kacee and leaves her no choice. Either her daughter or her husband. Bellick and Geary call Fox River and find out that T-Bag sent 52 letters to Susan Hollander that were all returned to sender. The pair head towards her house.
Lincoln and LJ stop off at a caf? and LJ orders some food. Unfortunately, he forgets his change and the waitress runs out to give it to him and recognizes Lincoln in the car. Things get a little heated as LJ starts to resent the fact that Lincoln doesn?t take any of his ideas and he gets emotional and blurts out, ?well I?m sorry I?m not a pro at being a con like you dad.?
Pam Mahone opens the door to whom she thinks is a colleague of her ex-husband, but is in fact Michael Scofield. Michael is posing as agent Wayne Merrick and that he is running a check on Alex Mahone before he is promoted to a higher security clearance. Pam at first seems resentful, but then nervous as she pleads, ?promise he won?t find out we spoke?? Michael assures her and Pam replies that Alex scares her.
Sara is in Elgin, Illinois hiding in a motel and is trying to figure out what ?Sundown/Hot? means. She has taken the dead woman?s, Kelli Foster, purse to use her ID. After staring at it for ages, Sara keeps turning around the book in an attempt to find out what Sundown/Hot means when she accidentally places it on top of the leaflet of ?Harvel Burgers? and the first four letters are missing leaving her with only ?el?. Sara then realizes that Michael means ?Sundown Hotel? as their place of Rendezvous. She calls information to ask for the number of Sundown Hotel and she gets several hotels in different states. She correctly chooses the one in Gila, New Mexico which is closest to the border.
Back in Tribune, Kansas, T-Bag leaves the bag with the 5 million dollars in a locker in a bus station and goes off in pursuit of Susan Hollander, but not before he purchases some flowers and steals a pair of scissors.
Today is the day that C-Note told Kacee to meet him at ?the rainbow room?. C-Note and his friends have made an elaborate and safe plan to meet up with his daughter and wife and C-Note refuses to allow any weapons involved.
Kellerman has figured out that Sara is using the alias ?Kelli Foster?, and has tracked her down. She is booked on a flight to New Mexico. Kellerman decides to not tell Kim and to take care of it himself. He calls Mahone and updates him with Sara?s whereabouts. Mahone uses this fact to help break the code; he narrows it down to only the ones with the combination ?NM? to find out if any contain a place in New Mexico.
Michael is still in Pam Mahone?s house asking questions, and Pam reveals that Alex has not always been so secretive and closed off. She says that one day Alex just became obsessed with getting out of their marriage, getting her and her son out of the house, and out of his life. Pam then gives Michael what he wanted; she tells him that Mahone started spending all of his time in the back yard, ?gardening?. But Michael knows better, and we know why Mahone is so obsessed with his bird bath.
The FBI agents have Kacee and follow her to ?the rainbow room? which is the location of where the photo of her family was taken at a merry go round. Kacee is nervous and things get worse when she sees the guns. She goes out and waits by the merry go round, and Chris, one of C-Note?s friends, comes near her and tells her that a black jeep is going to show up in the parking lot. Kacee hesitates before she runs, the FBI try to follow her but are blocked off and she gets away.
Michael is still asking Pam questions, but moves onto Oscar Shales. He discovers that Alex was obsessed with finding him, but that he didn?t start behaving erratically until the trail went cold. Michael puts it all together. However, a slip up leaves Pam suspicious of who he really is.
C-Note sends in a friend to collect DeeDee, but he gets desperate when the FBI show up and risks his life and goes in and gets her himself just in time.
T-Bag finds Susan Hollander?s house and the memories come flooding back. However, a for sale sign and an empty house disappoint him.
Lincoln and LJ try to establish a father-son relationship; they have a light conversation about LJ?s experience with girls. The conversation seems a bit inappropriate after what they are going through, but it may be exactly what they needed.
A depressed T-Bag sits dejectedly on a chair in the middle of an empty room in Susan?s house, and looks around, remembering what it was like the last time he was there. However, as he starts to walk out, T-Bag gets a nasty surprise as Bellick knocks him out with the ?For Sale? sign.
Mahone is trying to decipher Michael?s message to Sara about their rendezvous and he gets exasperated, but not for long. He soon realizes it to be ?Gila, NM on 6/3?. Just as he figures it out, he gets a call from his ex-wife?s cell phone. But it isn?t Pam. ?Maybe I should call back?, Michael?s smooth and confident voice replies to him. Michael had taken Pam?s cell phone from her house and tells Mahone that he knows about Oscar Shales, and tells him to back off and let him and his family escape. Mahone isn?t so ready to compromise, because he knows where Michael is meeting up with Sara tomorrow. ?I?ll see you soon Michael.?
T-Bag wakes up to find himself strapped to a chair and Geary and Bellick waiting for him. They start taunting him, but T-Bag is unfazed and hits Bellick where it hurts. Bellick tells T-Bag that he is going to tell him where he hid the money and holds up a pair of scissors. When T-Bag refuses to tell him, Bellick starts cutting the stitches that are holding his hand to his wrist and T-bag screams in agony.
Kacee is waiting anxiously for C-Note and DeeDee to show up, and she is not disappointed. Kacee and C-Note have an emotional reunion which turns downhill when Kacee asks what they are going to do now.
Mahone is clearly rattled by what Michael says and is digging in his garden for his life. He doesn?t rest until he sees the skeleton hand of Oscar Shales.
Michael is on his way to Gila, New Mexico.
LJ and Lincoln are at Willcox train station, but they are recognized before the train comes. They try to run away but LJ is hit by a car and Lincoln won?t leave him. They get caught by the police and Lincoln pleads that LJ is left out of this. His plea is ignored.
