Could Prison Break Soon Be Back On Our Screens?
Since it came to a crushing end in 2009, fans of Prison Break have been watching and waiting; desperate for news of its return. It’s been almost six long years since we saw the devastatingly handsome Wentworth Miller trying to fight his way out of a conspiracy that tried to kill his brother. However, the news we have all been waiting for has finally arrived as Fox confirm they are open to talks of the show’s return.
So it’s definitely coming back then?
Unfortunately, no. There is no guarantee Prison Break will be back on our screens anytime soon. While there have been a lot of rumors circulating the internet that it is coming back in 2016, nothing has been agreed. Fox has said it would have the series back in a heartbeat. Wentworth Miller and his on-screen brother Dominic Purcell have also claimed they would be up for a Prison Break reunion.
So all is not lost. In comparison to last year, the fact Fox have admitted they are even interested in having the series back is a huge step forward.
What have the stars been up to?
Prison Break may be off our screens at the moment, but its stars are very much still in the spotlight.
Wentworth Miller took a bit of a backseat after Prison Break aired its final season. Turning his hand at screenwriting, the actor has featured in a few TV guest appearances such as Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and House. Most recently he and Dominic Purcell reunited in ‘The Flash’.
Dominic has also had a pretty eventful few years, starring in numerous films such as ‘Ice Soldiers’, ‘Turkey Shoot’ and ‘A Fighting Man’. His most recent film, ‘Fast and Furious 7′ is due out this year.
It may not be the news you were hoping, but Fox’s recent revelation has revived some hope that the show will make a return. Stay tuned for more updates as they arise.
